Introduction

The giant bee is quite similar to the common honey bee, just significanty larger. The giant bee has a length of up to two feet and a wingspan of nearly three feet.

Feeding Habits

Much like the common honey bee, the giant bee may range far from its hive in search of nectar and pollen. Kassaerth observes that its range is proportional to size, likely for efficiency as it can consume and gather significantly more on a single outing than the common honey bee.

Disposition and Social Habits

Like the common bee, giant bees live in hives, create honey, and maintain distinct roles such as queen, worker bees, and drones. Worker bees build the nest, gather nectar, and tend to the larvae.

Unlike the common honey bee, giant bees can be tremendously dangerous even individually. Their stingers are larger and stronger than a large fish hook, and one sting from a giant bee can easily kill a person.

Habitat

The giant bee will live in temperate climates, as they require flowering plants for nectar.

Fylgia

Most compatible: Dire Badger

• The giant bee is not entirely similar to any of the typical fylgia creatures. Like the hawk, the giant bee has the capability for flight. When hunting, the giant bee's foraging style is similar to the badger, boar, and rat. On those rare occasions when it does attack, fury and quick strike is closest to the badger. Overall, although not a perfect match, the badger comes closest when comparing both physical traits and hunting style.
