HISTORY OF MORTAL MAGIC, VOLUME FOUR - RISE OF ANDRINOR

The following was a gift of inspiration by our Lord Andrinor, on the 4th day of November, 2108...

In the mortal days of our lord Andrinor, he traveled through out Avlis and encountered many challenges and dangers. One of the challenges that they faced was this group found out about how Valok was trying to enter the Prime.

This challenge came to them after our lord Andrinor found out his true birth identity and relationship to those around him. He has always known that he was a tiefling, an offspring of a mortal and a cambion. However, what he did not know was that his mother, Leire, was the younger sister of Deritel Ringthon, the founder of the Ringthon family - and the cousin of Aritelda Ringthon, the current commander in chief of the T¡¦Nanshi army who was also part of the traveling party with lord Andrinor.

Back to their challenge. This group of adventurers also found out that Valok would be destroying Angadar as part of a deal struck by Khalik ¡V follower of Valok, and Quilan, a former pupil of Angadar who felt he was mistreated by Angadar. Thus, the group decided to ask Angadar and go to his realm in Baator for help to drive back Valok. Jade, a member of this party who was in Angadar¡¦s realm in Baator not too long ago, told the rest of the group how dangerous Baator was, and they prepared themselves.

In the realm of Baator and in the palace where Angadar resided, Andrinor and the group convinced Angadar to help them with Valok, however, Angadar¡¦s power was not enough to do this alone. Thus, Vanoviel was summoned by Angadar to convince a Planetar of O¡¦Ma to ask O¡¦Ma for assistance. The Planetar agreed.

Meanwhile, Andrinor and Angadar struck a deal that changed Andrinor¡¦s life forever. In the library of Angadar, there rest a tome that was written by a Tana¡¦ri that came to the planet long ago and discovered the Mortal Magic Vortex. But this book was only readable by one of Tana¡¦ri blood who was of chaotic philosophy, and possessed great power. Angadar possessed none of these qualities besides the great power, and our lord Andrinor was both of Tana¡¦ri blood and of chaotic philosophy. Thus, Angadar gave Andrinor the great power that he needed in exchange for letting Angadar link with Andrinor so that Angadar himself can have the knowledge of this tome. They agreed, and Angadar also gave Andrinor the access to his great library of Arcane Knowledge. There, Andrinor learned much from what Angadar has gathered.

Our lord Andrinor then began to read the tome. In the matter of only minutes, he was able to digest the whole tome, and found out how to control the Vortex of Mortal Magic. Along the way, Andrinor also learned a spell of how to break a mental link from a powerful being.

During the battle with Valok, the group was chased by an army of Lemurs. This group started to run away from this army, thousands of Lemur chased after this group of mortals. However, at that time, Andrinor and Vanoviel stopped and looked at each other with a grin on their faces. They turned around a unleashed fury. Fire, Lightning and awesome magics erupting form Andrinor's fingers tearing rifts into the Lemur Army. After this fury of great powers of Mortal Magic, Vanoviel jumped into the middle of the Army and Cleaved a hole in the middle of the army. All was left were the corpses of burnt Lemur.

However, Valok did not give up. His chase continued to come after the the group. Finally, with the help from O¡¦Ma and Angadar, the group arrived at Elysium, O¡¦Ma¡¦s home realm. This battle had already gone on for a long time when they arrived at Elysium, including the death of Tianna, the goddess of Trickery and Deceit. At this time, our lord Andrinor remember what he had read in the tome, and severed his link with Angadar, who was too busy to care. And he began the ritual to control the Vortex of Mortal Magic, because all of the pieces were in order at that moment. He utilized their energies in his spell, and finally, after a long hard recitation, the ritual was complete.

He told me that at first, he didn¡¦t feel anything different. But the next second, he felt that his mortal body was too small and confine to hold his consciousness. His body exploded when it could no longer bear the expansion of his consciousness, but he himself was not destroyed.

In his new energetic form, Andrinor was free. He was able to contemplate thousands of tasks at once, and he had total control over the vortex and all magic emanating from it. He even felt the presence of a new vortex, which was not under his control. This one was the magical source for all of the gods.

His revelations were cut short however when he felt an irresistable pull. Confused, he tried to resist, but he was unable to halt himself from being sucked into a large portal that opened up near him. When he was taken through, the landscape was changed. He found himself in a cavernous land of gorges, canyons, and fiords.... Ysgard. The land where he stood was an island floating on a huge river made of earth. He got the feeling that this island was to be his new home, and it was his to shape. And there, our lord Andrinor resides.
