HISTORY OF MORTAL MAGIC, VOLUME SEVEN - INSTITUTION OF THE HIGH MAGE COUNCIL OF AVLIS

After the saga of the Vortex of Chaos, Melonius Mennallin stepped down as Archmage of the Ivory Order to serve Andrinor. Melonius was to form the Council to further Andrinor's will which the God of Mortal Magic had spoken of over the Lost River Cavern. The High Mage Council of Avlis was founded shortly thereafter.

The High Mage Council as the governing body for the regulation of Mortal Magic on Avlis first consists of three members from each mage order included in the council, aswell as the High Council Moderator, a direct servant of Andrinor. Each member's seat on the council entitles them to a vote on any motion which passes before the council. The exception being the Moderator who votes only in the case of a tie.

While the Council was created, members of the mage orders, now known as Andrinor's Trust, began to notice the mark of Andrinor (Also known as Andrinor's Trust) appearing on their right shoulder. As He had promised, those belonging to His orders now found they held his blessing.

The first High Council Moderator, Melonius Mennallin, shared with the Council Andrinor's desire to see his Trust consist of nine mage orders eventually, like the Fold of Nine before it. It was not long after this announcement that the world of Mortal Magic saw the rise of a fourth mage order.

Sprung from a shared vision between Ezarie the old Archmage of the Green Order, and other mages who followed Dru'El teachings, the Green Order of the Forest was created. The Green made their presence known to Andrinor's Trust and would eventually become Andrinor's fourth Order as the God gifted them with his Blessing. It was not long after that the Green Order of the forest was welcomed into the High Mage Council.

Following Andrinor's will, a fifth Order appeared. With the Archmage Peregryne Twostep at it's head, The Blue Order of the Sky rose. An Order whose purpose it is to aid the world of Mortal Magic thrive through hard work, study, and structure. They too bore Andrinor's Trust on their shoulders.

The Blue Order is not the first Order to appear since the founding of Andrinor's Trust, nor will it be the last. The High Council continues to regulate the art during this Arcane Revolution, to see Andrinor's visions made reality as it has done with the Academy of Mortal Magic.

For a serious practicioner of the art, the Trust is the only path to take.
