Creature Name: Seagull

Creature Type: Animal ((292))

Creature Subtype: Bird

CTS trainable: Yes (compatible with CTS).

Introduction

Seagulls are small coastal birds, with heavy bodies, long wings, slightly long necks, and rounded tails. They have webbed feet like ducks, but longer legs, like a chicken. This allows them to excel at swimming, flying, and walking.

Feeding Habits

Seagulls will eat almost anything. Gulls have been seen eating fish, worms, insects, eggs, rats, frogs, lizards, fruits, seeds, carrion, and even other birds. They also employ many hunting styles, from catching insects in midair, to plunging into the water to snag fish, to foraging for worms and seeds on the ground. Seagulls are able to drink both salt and fresh water.

Disposition and Social Habits

Seagulls gather together into large colonies, usually on small islands that can be found off the coast of Negaria. Pairs mate for life, and colonies will usually return to the same spot yearly to mate, give birth, and raise their young.

Habitat

Seagulls can be found primarily in coastal areas across Negaria, even as far north as Tyedu. They grow accustomed to sentient races, and can sometimes be found on docks or boats, hunting for food scraps.

Fylgia

Most compatible: Hawk

  • The seagull, though smaller, is a bird like the hawk.
