Shrumping, Shrumper, etc is used alot in Avlis, so I figure its about time you all know where it came from. Or at least the first time I ever remember it.

Setting: A long time ago (read April/May 2003) in a forest in Southern T'Nanshi

Vroshgrak was a halforc druid with no ability to hide/sneak etc, and he was bumbling around near the warfront on a naked run (corpses were scary then because it wasn't persistant after a crash!), possibly at Orcscourge and he was found by a patrol of M'Chekian Soldiers. Drake Pere and Roland are most likely, though the group could have varied in coposition. Realizing he was just about screwed, as he was outnumbered, and naked and unbuffed Vrosh dove for the nearest bush he could find hoping to hide.

They spotted Vrosh hiding naked in the bush, and tried to question him, when they asked what he was doing he said 'making pleasure' in hopes of confusing the M'Chekians long enough to run away. Rather than confusing them, they proceeded to mock and ridicule him.

So in his 8 int 8 cha way, Vrosh had tried to outsmart the M'Chekians but instead it came back to bite him in the ass by becoming the most popular derugatory slang about elves and other assorted Scamperers. And thus the story of the verb 'to shrump' is defined.
