The Honour Guard of the Voivode

Voivode Kassesshisrath stood at the top of a ruined tower using the vantage point to over see the battle. Spread throughout the ruins beneath him was his personal bodyguard. Each one had been hand chosen. The perfect example of a warrior of Shaah Sulehagh.

Ssathisixshasa was not surprised when and group of bloodied warm bloods approached the ruins. Their army was greatly outnumbered and such acts were born of desperation. Sssaa he his hissed and readied the double scimitar gifted to him by the Voivode himself. The two groups met. War cries filled the air as weapon struck weapon and blades screamed as they scraped across armour. Ssathisixshasa moved smoothly through the fighting every shot carefully chosen to inflict maximum damage.

In the middle of the carnage he spied a figure in the distinctive blue armour of Angadar. A holy symbol hanging around his neck. Remembering the withdrawal from Grantir he saw an opportunity to gain a portion of revenge. Swatting arrows out of the air he stalked his prey. The warm blood saw him coming and began to chant a spell. He was not allowed to complete it. Thrusting his weapon deep into the cleric's chest Ssathisixshasa felt a deep sense of satisfaction as the humans blood splattered across his face. Watching the lifelessly body slump to the ground Ssathisixshasa moved on in search of a worthy opponent.

Human, Elf and Gnome and Gnoll his double bladed weapon sought them all and as the blood of his enemies mixed with the mud and stones of the ground let out a howl of triumph.

High in the tower he saw the Voivode honouring two of the enemy with a death by his own hands. Ssathisixshasa paid them no heed. They were lesser creatures and two of them could not hope to stand against Kassesshisrath's might. He moved back to the entrance of the ruins joining the other chosen warriors. Ensuring their masters execution of the warm bloods was not interrupted the honour guard held the entrance making all those who tried to penetrate the structure pay a heavy price in blood and pain. It was a glorious day to be a servant of the Murderlord.
