Above the Keep - By Lorelai Silvermoon Volume 11

As Skyla settles atop the Keep and tucks her spined wings back along her sleek body, the Hunter releases himself from the leather bonds and metal buckles securing him to the saddle. Sliding down the silver scaled body of Skyla, he drops lightly to the stone battlement. Those standing nearby notice he keeps a hand on her long, serpentine neck to steady himself. The broad smile that was plastered to Thaylis' face at the beginning of the flight has long since vanished, replaced with a fierce look of determination as he focuses on the training at hand. His face is ashen, clearly struggling to acclimate himself to the strenuous training Cole has set forth for the pair.

During the break, he asks Cole and the other riders many questions specific to the training. He spends some time speaking with Skyla as well. After a brief drink of water he clambers back into his place in the front saddle, securing himself once more into place.

Iolren calls out mirthfully, his commanding voice loud enough for all to hear, "Thaylis, do you want a bite to eat?"

Thaylis' face pales even more at that thought. The Pelarite shoots his Brother in Faith a weak smile and can only shake his head amongst the laughter that erupts across the rooftop.

"Ready for some target practice?" MJ chirps brightly from her perch atop Tryphena. The dragon's face almost betraying a smirk to mirror MJ's mirthful grin.

"The hard part is judging the shifting winds, much like being in a canyon but not so predictable." MJ snugs the neck rope she and Try had adopted for their 'harness'. "More like ... being at sea - but ... only sped up."

MJ draws her bow and flattens against the copper dragon's neck as they launch into the air at some unseen signal.

Tryphena circles widdershins around the rooftop, "She said come find us when you are ready for a demonstration!"

The dragon bellows before swooping out over the city, putting in a barrel roll just as they head out over the walls.
