In the aftermath of the third day and the conclusion of the battle of elysia, the darkness fading and tell of ravens fall spreading ... hours' rest are alotted as all take a deep breath of fresh air again in the city, or as fresh as able with the stench of dead stone and beast piled outside the walls.
Cole reconvenes the dragons in time, to regroup and reorganize ... seven of their own were lost all told, with two left too injured to continue flying at present. The Champion will continue to provide oversight and personally lead the heavy formations, with Foster his second, heading half the force when they split ... the conjoining of the archer / scout and skirmisher platoons seen to by MJ and Thaylis during the battle will be kept, bolstering the numbers of each.
Still favoring his shoulder and side, the smell of brimstone and dragonsfire resistant to being washed away ... he thanks them all from his heart for the effort put forward the past three days, but reminds that it is not quite over. By his estimates, over the course of this conflict they have slain near 70 stone dragons, a third of which have been ambers ... the number may actually be more than that, but the point is that they have slain so many, that he does not believe many still fly under their foe's banner. It is not over, but for dragon to dragon combat ... he hopes this was the worst of it, these 72 hours of hell in the sky.
Now I feel the worse will be coming. Elysia is saved ... yet ... I speak now from sorrow, That Dawn and Sun sacrificed themselves to our cause.
