What is your ritual? I asked him one day…
The sun was shining, the birds chirping…
How do you know, when you’ve found the perfect prey?
You stalk, you hunt, this I know, but how do you pray?
I asked the wise hunter one day…

What do you do, after you tracked so far?
Into his eyes I was looking, ideas in my mind cooking…
The fortune teller said, the gods of the forest are
In every life and death….really helpful…arrgh!
So what do you do, to honor Pelar
I asked the wise hunter one day

I asked the wise hunter one day,
I asked him to tell me
And this is what he had to say…

The Hunt has many facets, but breaks down to four…
My ears were twitching as I was listening…
The choice of a worthy prey, for Pelar’s attention, be it animal or…
A quest, a task, a mission or more…
Sometimes even, it’s a choice of hunting down lore.
This is what my wise hunter had to say

After the choice, come the stalk and the kill…
He was patiently telling, story weaving,
Trace the path, use all of your skills…
Keep going, stay brave, you have your fill
Even though you have your prey, you’re not done until…
I leaned in to hear what the wise hunter had to say

I asked the wise hunter one day,
I asked him to tell me
And this is what he had to say…

Finally, what you want to learn, the ritual…
Muffin nibbling, word choosing…
To pay tribute, to honor Pelar, is individual
This is mine, take it as you will…
I always save something small, a claw, from each kill
I leaned in to hear what the wise hunter had to say

I find a source, of natural water so clear
Tale telling, lore spreading,
Burn my offering in this obsidian bowl, until it’s just ashes dear
Sprinkle them on the earth, in the water, in the air
Pay tribute to the elements, my ritual to Pelar, that I hold dear…
This is what the wise hunter had to say.

I asked the wise hunter one day,
I asked him to tell me
And this is what he had to say…
And this is what he had to say…
