Information

Limestone dragons are greedy, oafish creatures that combine an insatiable drive to obtain whatever they desire with a lack of foresight, making them both an extreme nuisance and themselves a target for much avarice and distrust throughout Avlis. Though they are of average intelligence, they tend to be rather dull-witted for a dragon, and as a consequence often stumble into conflicts and situations because of their greed. Though they make their lairs in secluded, often flooded terrain to keep out unwarranted visitors, their own grasping need to take whatever they please will gradually turn their surroundings against them, often resulting in either the death of the dragon or the dragons being chased away from their location.

Limestone dragons are thin, serpent-like creatures with long, webbed claws and a pair of wings that fold back to remove water resistance. They have long-tapered heads with a series of small whiskers that grow longer with age, giving them a slight cat-fish like appearance, though the most charitable observer would say they appear more like a cross between a gator and a gold dragon. Their scales tend to range from a dark muddy brown at birth, to a brilliant white speckled color, and the flexible, yet tough nature of their scales make them widely popular for use in armor. Limestone dragons have stark white eyes with muddy-brown pupils that seem to glow with an eerie green light.
