Glorious Son

All who choose the path of Glory, To serve their Lord how they see right, Bear with them a different story Of how they yield the Faith their might.

Some are to the manor born And walk the world with measured graces. Others are to commerce sworn Or serve their Lord in secret places.

But Magnus Khan is none of these. He is of a different faction, One that aims not just to please, But lives for swift, decisive action.

When war burned bright against the sky, This soldier wielded faith and sword. Fishaven, Blandenberg, Gwenverae; He fought for nation and his Lord.

The Ravager, some here recall, Spewed death and hate across the land. While some were cowed, some made thrall, Others chose to take a stand.

And in a darkened hour, When so much seemed to yield Before Its ever frightful power, Valok took the field.

For Dominator Magnus Khan, The Severing Sword raised high, Struck a blow to split a bond And struck again to watch It die.

If heroes are not born but made, If luck befriends the bold, Then this one's legend won't dare fade, And yet will shine in hues of Gold.

~ Written and performed by Madrigal ap Unafel Colwythh for the Order of Valok.
