Just a Funny Little Song

By Willem Lightheart
It sure does rain a lot
On this quiet little spot
Outside the tall city gate
The company is usually first rate
I think the rain makes my cloths shrink
As people walk by they look at me and blink
Just in case you didn’t know
I like to sit here and watch the grass grow
If you want to ask me along
I’ll travel with you as I sing a song
And if we should see or do something new
I’ll write me a song about my travel with you
But please don’t let it go to your head
That often gets adventures quite dead
Just listen to my tune from the start
And maybe it will strengthen your heart
Hopefully in the end the battles are won
And you and I can just have some fun
