Introduction

Some say, "Snakes are not typically aggressive and flee when confronted. Venomous snakes, though, may bite instinctively before fleeing. This particular species can often be seen hunting in the lakes and ponds of Ferrell." And this is true, though they are more often seen relaxing in the waters, enjoying a swim, or hiding between the rocks and at the bottom of the waters. As they are quite large they do not have many natural predators and rarely feel the need to flee, but are not strongly aggressive either.

Feeding Habits

They often wait quietly in an area, between rocks or at the lake bottom, until their prey comes by, when they quickly strike out and bite. The poison does the rest and the snake finds their meal.

Disposition and Social Habits

They tend to be in small groups of 3. This may be because of mating or hunting, though perhaps they mate in threes.

Habitat

The snakes can be found in the Ferrell lakes, ponds, and rivers, though you occasionally may find them on the shores.

Fylgia

Most compatible: Dire Badger

  • They enjoy going between the rocks and swimming through the waters, much like a badger digs in the dirt.

Other notes

Quite a beautiful creature and often confused with other large blue snakes.
