Introduction

The parrot is a brightly plumaged and often multi-colored bird, similar in size to ravens and crows.

Feeding Habits

Parrots typically eat plants, in the form of fruit, nuts, seeds, and flower buds, often using their strong, curved beaks to crack open a seed or nut. Some parrots will prey on small carrion as well.

Disposition and Social Habits

Kassaerth has not noticed multiple parrots traveling together, although they must congregate together at some point to mate. The parrot is not an aggressive creature, and will tolerate humans, shaahesk, and other intelligent species in its presence.

Habitat

Parrots generally prefer to live in heavily wooded areas, as they make their homes in hollowed out areas of trees.
