Planar Portals
Long distance portal travel requires a stable interface between the origin and destination planes. Depending on which types of realms are being conjoined, the rituals involved may differ.
Connections Involving Outer Planes: For connections involving outer planes, the following ritual is to be conducted in a safe area:

Alternate Connections:
When constructing gateways to other celestial bodies or planets, there is no planar border to cross. Simple distance is the only factor. Thus, one does not have to cross into the Astral necessarily. A different ritual is needed:
- Here is given another detailed description of a ritual. It describes the need for a stable flat surface, in an area that is either in-doors or underground.
The ritual requires complex hand motions and incantations, which are given. An object native to the other celestial body is needed to complete the ritual. Its destruction opens the portal.*****
