Refugees from Jechran

There came a time not too long ago that a blight swept through the lands of Jechran. The crops failed to grow; then the waters became poisoned, and the lifestone itself was affected. The creatures of the land began to suffer and die inexplicably. Areas of the great jungles were left as a wasteland of ash, rumored to have been destroyed by demons ravaging the land. A number of the tribes of Jechran were forced to flee the forests that they called home, escaping from Jechran through Deglos and then to Visimontium.

The refugees scattered to Deglos and Visimontium. Andrinor's Trust and the Warrior Maidens of Dre'Ana came together to find a home for those individuals who had been displaced by the blight.

Archmage Fergus Goodmane of the White Order of the Light sent the Archmistress of the Warrior Maidens - Nawen - and the White Mage Aria Ashby to meet with the Archmage of the Green Order of the Forest, Elrendar.

Together they decided that the refugees should be brought together in Elysia where the winter is milder and pleasant; a better place for a group of people used to warm climates.

The collaborators reached out to the other Orders of Andrinor's Trust in order to create a plan to aid the refugees. The Moderator of the High Mage Council - Miette Hartley - along with the Archmage of the Ivory Order of the Sun - Tralil Breck - came up with a plan to create a portal large enough to transport the immigrants safely to the shining city of Elysia.

The White, Green, Ivory, Blue and Ashen Orders stepped in using their knowledge of the arcane with the assistance of the Warrior Maidens and the gift of Dre'Ana's Faith Crystals. A temporary portal was designed and laid out in Visimontium and Elysia, and opened in each city by the Magi of the Trust. The Warrior Maidens worked to gather, escort and guard the refugees on their way from Jechran to Visimontium so that they could step safely through the portal and to their new home. It is estimated that nearly 5,000 women, children, and men were transported safely to Elysia.
