Tribal Population/Size: A small clan, sometimes generations numbering in the hundreds, others just a handful left until the next birth season.

Tribal Organization: Clan Ruv are a nomadic tribe roaming the eastern areas of Tyedu, usually staying near the Gulf of Tears. Tribal organization is fairly simple. The Coven of Three rules the clan until the new generation of witch, druidess and priestess are born, usually within 50 to 90 years. They then train the new generation when they come of age. The elder Coven of Three, at their natural time, dies off almost always together. They are revered and given burial in the gulf. And the cycle repeats. The members of the tribe, more female than male usually, respect the Coven and the Coven is strengthened by the Tribe.

Tribal Relations: They live a simpler life among the snow and ice. Hunting, fishing, trading with some as far away as Galdos, they make great totems and charms, rituals passed down some say from the first people, and are sought out far and wide.

Attitudes & Personalities: They are open to outsiders and aid others when they can. A very friendly clan.

Known Traditions & Rituals: Clan Ruv is well known across the lands as powerful diviners. Their Coven of Three is often sought to aid in disputes, give guidance and foretell what lies ahead. They freely help others when asked, as it is their calling.

Clan Lore

Ancient Lore: The ancient lore around her tribe is of a powerful female sorceress blessed with primal magic, likely a spirit kin, settled in the region known as Gulf of Tears. She had met a tribe of first humans, and attempted to join them. She was called Lumina, Romini for Light. This group of tribal people, once of the Romini until they settled in Tyedu, feared her magic as well as outsiders. She was cast out by this tribe and only one of them stood up for her, a powerful shamaness. Her name has been lost to time, but the future generations called her Zuvli, Romini for wife. Lumina left under the cover of night with the shamaness and travelled east into a remote area. There they started their own clan. Living up in eastern Tyedu was a harsh life, but they managed to work out a joyful life there. They called themselves Clan Ruv, the Romini word for wolf, as they lived among the snow-white wolves.

One year, she and the shamaness were blessed with a female child with stark white hair, like the wolves nearby. She was believed to be a blessing from the nature spirits. She was named Leshya, the Romini word for good spirit. Very shortly after, two more children came to them, but the means by which they came is lost to time. Both children were female and had the same stark white hair. They were named Omida, Romini for dragon, and Pisika, Romini for cat.

The three grew up as the first children of Clan Ruv. Leshya was a talented witch like Lumina, Pisika was a druidess like the shamaness, and Omida, she was filled with divine energy of the Spirit gods. The three formed what would come to be known as the Coven of Three. The clan grew, some seasons measuring in the hundreds, and others, only a handful remained. But every few generations, three children would be born with stark white hair, and they would become the next Coven of Three, learning from the last before they passed on.

The Seer

How Tikno found her way South: Oddly on Tikno's year of birth, she was the only child born with stark white hair. The clan waited and waited for the other two to arrive but they never did. When she came of age, she was trained by the last Coven of Three and then sent out into the world to find two more with the hope that near the natural end of her life, there would be three more born and she could return to the Clan and teach them as well, along with her new sisters. Once Tikno travelled to the south, she discovered the roots of her current Tyeduan heritage had been heavily influenced by her original Romini ancestors, all those generations ago. She has found her new home among the southern Romini clans, always remembering her roots and the inevitable return home.
