The Lost Princess : Volume 5 of 7

As fate would have it, it was around this time that a princess from other realm which had began to die, arrived via the spelljammer port to seek asylum. The King was instantly taken with her and within a month had asked for her Hand, which she accepted happily. Toostan was in an upheaval of joy. The royal wedding took up the hearts and minds of the entire city, who had began to worry the King would never marry.

Zelia however ... was not happy. Not at all. This meant heirs! For if the King Sired a child, the throne would fall from Zelia's grasp.

In desperation she turned to the Dark Lady, "...Please ... please I need more, she cried ... It is all coming apart."

The Dark Lady considered this for a moment. "...Perhaps, she said, I can give you more ... well, I cannot ... all my power and knowledge is already yours ... but I have something perhaps to trade..."

The moonlight sparkled around the Dark Lady as she spoke ... Her hold on Zelia never greater than in this moment...

"But I cannot just give them to you ... you must trade something of true value for them..."

"Anything ... All the gold in the city! ... Title ... station ... wealth!"

"No no no Princess ... something of value ... to you and you alone..."

"Anything," the Princess cried, "... just so I might for fill my destiny and bring about the Great Dream in the Holy Lords name!"

The Dark lady nodded and told Zelia to return to the highest point in the next full moon.

"What I can offer is the greatest treasures I have; I must go to get them..." and she faded into the space between shadow and moonlight...

A month passes. Zelia did her best to befriend the new soon to be queen but did not do so well. The new soon-to-be-queen distrusted Zelia, and not because she was a heavily illusioned psychopathic killer, but mostly because she had normal people insecurities and Zelia ... was a Peoples' Princess and just felt a bit threatened by her. Anyways ...

Zelia was frustrated and angered at her attitude and the city was once again haunted by weird deaths and other random scary acts of unexplainable violence. Until the night the Dark Lady returned ... she met Zelia on the roof as usual, and she stood in the dark, hiding something behind her back.

The Dark Lady spoke: "I have brought you three items of power, you must choose to take all, or none, but each one you take will double your will, strength and power so that you become all that you wish to be. I will warn you though, these items will bond to your soul and you will bear the responsibility of their actions until your death, or through some misadventure they bond to something else ... Do you wish to see them?"

Zelia begged to be given the chance to behold such powerful items and have them for her own.

"Very well ..." said the Dark Lady, "...I present to you ... My Daughters ..."
