Ground-covering vegetation in the spell’s area becomes very hard and sharply pointed without changing its appearance. In areas of bare earth, roots and rootlets act in the same way. Spike Growth can only be cast in natural areas. Any creature in the AoE takes 1d4 points of damage per round (no save).
Any creature that fails a Reflex save has its movement speed decreased by 30%. This penalty lasts for 8 hours (1 game day). The effect is removed by resting.
