Introductions
My name is Yantri. In the language of my people, it means 'Wisdom Walker'. I am a huntsman and warrior in devotion to Skern, god of Natural Balance and Community. It is my lifelong goal to bring a kind of natural harmony to the lands of M'Chek; a place out of sorts with it's own changing environment. Maybe it will never be green and lush, but the lands are fertile, and the people are hearty enough to survive, and even prosper here. But not if at constant loggerheads with the creatures around them.
With assistance from my fellow naturalists and those who seek to come to a closer understanding of the gifts we have been granted; I seek to catalog, study and understand the myriad of common animals, monsters and fell beasts that beset us in our journey through life. Maybe... just maybe.. in that understanding, a common chord can be struck. And we need not be adversaries. Maybe some of us can come to a common goal or cause, or just agree to disagree.
Current Subjects of Study
- Bulette - Also known as the land shark, these hyper carnivores exist for one reason and one reason only; the never ending search for food. Their entire physique allows these two ton creatures to actually accomplish this goal in a surprisingly stealthy manner.
- Black Scorpion - Smaller cousin to the Sand Scorpion, the black scorpion is a small, deadly creature in it's own right. Also capable of burrowing through soft terrain and ambushing unsuspecting prey.
- Gray Render - A hulking mountain of a beast, the Gray Render is best known for it's massive strength and ferocity. Even still, the beast betrays a small amount of cunning behind the rage.
- Greater Manticore - Larger, and more ferocious than even the M'Chekian Manticore, the Greater Manticore roosting in the boughs of Le'Ors canopy is not to be taken lightly.
- Herak'Tal Warriors - Once raised by humans as a kind of livestock (reportedly having a very juicy and suculent taste), these creatures infest the canopies of T'Nanshi like vermin.
- M'Chekian Sand Scorpion - Denizen of the lower M'Chekian planes and more arid areas, this burrowing predator is both elusive and potentially a great ally to those with Spider Fylgia.
- Avlisian Owlbear - A hybrid of unknowable provenance, the owlbear is a sight to behold. It's powerful beak loses nothing on the bears massive jaws. Most interesting as a juxtaposition of compatible Fylgia.
- Shaarda Sand Lizard - I am positively giddy about the prospects here. Although apprehensive at first, considering the tragic loss of my arm to one of these ferocious creatures, it would seem the young are actually tenable and have huge potential.
