The caster creates a black blade shaped planar rift, resembling a greatsword which fights at her side. The blade cannot be harmed by physical attacks but it can be affected by dispel magic or similar effects. The spell requires the caster to concentrate on it - casting spells or performing any other other action than walking or talking may result in a concentration failure and end the spell.

The Black Blade is a Construct, level equal to 1 + (caster level, capped at 29). The cap is increased by relevant effects. It receives an Enhancement Bonus equal to half the caster's caster level, and an additional d8 damage if they have Greater Spell Focus: Conjuration. This bonus is increased to 2d6 additional damage with Epic Spell Focus: Conjuration. The blade has a base Strength of 10 and receives +1 Strength per 4 levels. An additional 1 strength per 4 caster levels is added. The Blade is permanently Hasted and has all basic Greatsword feats.

Note that the duration is always 10 rounds, and cannot be Extended.
