Introduction

Beef cows have been bred over generations to produce a lot of meat when slaughtered. There are several breeds of beef cattle which have been created over the centuries, based on the kind of meat desired. For example, beef cattle producing leaner beef were originally developed in M'Chek, while cattle with fattier beef were bred in the Kurathene. The hides of beef cattle are also sometimes used to make leather.

Other notes

Though cows were originally domesticated in Deglos, beef cattle were primarily developed by humans in M'Chek. Ironically, their prevalence as a food source may have led to that nation’s overpopulation.
