The Lost Princess : Volume 3 of 7

One dark night she found herself at the highest tower of the castle staring at the full moon already lost with despair and without hope. Slowly she bound her wings to her back, so she could not fly and stood on the precipice for a long moment.

She turned at a noise behind her, threatening the dark cloaked shape not to come any closer or she would jump. A silky smooth voice of oil and midnight simply replied that she was going to jump anyhow, and slinked forward, robes of black and silver, sparkling softly in the moonlight.. The Hooded figure pushed back her hood, revealing the perfect features of a nymph ... long illustrious black hair ... beautiful in the way only nymphs can be. Zelia was entranced, and when the woman motioned her away from the edge and started to unbind her wings, she did not argue, but followed her to a small stone bench and sat with the beautiful woman. The woman spoke with Zelia all through the night, told her many lies, weaved a dark web around her: Do not despair ... take control of your life ... the nightmare is yours to Share ... she whispered...

The Dark Lady spoke of the great Lord Wilsash and how He wished to embrace Zelia as His own ... she spoke of the betrayal and hatred of Sareve, who he used her and was now with another ... who hated Zelia and wanted to destroy ... she spoke of the cruelty of the King ... and if Zelia was Queen ... as was Her right, then the World would be hers ... She spoke of the disgusting fiancee and his filthy mistress and gambling problems, and how only bloodshed would right the wrongs that he had planned for Zelia in his mind...

And in the small hours of the morning, the Dark lady promised to help Zelia... to reach her True Destiny of Queen of the Avariel, and bring about an Age of darkness and nightmares ... so Her realm would feel the same pain she did, and the princess, ensorcelled, believed every word. When the Dark Lady handed her a wicked looking knife and claimed that if the Princess should truly want her help, she would prove it by murdering the fiancee ... Zelia took the knife.

"Meet me here again at the the next moon Rise, with the blooded blade and the world Shall be yours..."

Then she vanished into the shadows.

The details are perhaps best untold, but nonetheless, that very next night Zelia returned to the roof with the blooded blade. The Dark Lady Blessed her in the moonlight and gave her an ancient symbol of Wilsash to wear beneath her royal finery ... and thus the princess's spirally decent into madness had begun ...
