History
Sammuel grew up an urchin in the streets of Mikona. At the age of four he was adopted by the paladin Vian Valorian after the young boy showed a sorcerous spark. From that point he was raised by Vian and an adventuring band of 'uncles;' the dwarves Harthgraepa and Feeb, and the elf Tri'as. Though always small for his age, once adopted and properly cared for and fed, Sammuel quickly blossomed into a child prodigy in the art of evocations. His burgeoning abilities were not without cost. Among his adoptive family the dwarves bespoke their detriments loudest of all through often-singed beards.
Sammuel proved impossible to keep out of adventure. Despite being tied up, locked down, scolded, or threatened concerning the dangers of such, he followed his uncles on all of their adventures. This he did sometimes to their knowledge, sometimes not. He learned quickly, and proved to have a natural talent for the evoker's negotiation of dangerous situtations.
Present Day
Despite a childhood full of promise Sammuel as an adult has left no lasting mark on Avlis. Possessing a well earned and self proclaimed reputation as a layabout, he has taken no active part in politics, guild life, or religion. By all accounts, he seems to be quite content to live a pampered existance paid for by his and his uncle's adventure gained fortunes, which are rumored to be quite large. It is well known that he keeps residence in a tower in the City Gates District of Mikona, is a patron of the arts, and has built the finest bar in the city (Mikona's Finest Playhouse). He is physically described as human and small of stature, with fine features, bright eyes, and a sharp, effusive wit.
