Fauna and Flora Group (FFG)
AboutFounded by Robert Wallace as he could see it in the bottom of a glass of ale, this group has been crossing the lands and finding no bounds in the research for knowledge of nature and the environment surrounding them. This group has traveled through the lands from the shores of M'Chek to the Dark caves of Deglos and it's amazing fauna and flora so strange to the underlight riders. Our objective is to learn more about the wild life of avlis and to have a good time among friends while doing it therefore, everyone wishing for this good time is welcome to join. MembersIn order to join the trips, one should look for the announcements that are posted on the boards around avlis and then show up in the right time carrying supplies for his survival on the wild environment, along with the drinks, food and tales needed for the trip. there is also a fee of one apple pie to be paid to Char'Jer. Brooch Holders / Expedition LeaderThose who carry a FFG Brooch are the ones more experienced in the FFG's trips. The sort that has a plan. That sees that no instruction is too trivial to say three times. That possesses maps so clear that only you can misunderstand them. The sort gifted with such an intellect that you often seem distant. Current brooch holders in no particular order. Mara Millennen, priestess of Mikon. Scientia fillia Hericus, mage and entertainer. Ognar Kro-Tash, orc about town. Kaz Siger, large sword does travel. char'jer, food taster and safety expert. Missy Flows, singing about woods and bears (retired for now). Robert Wallace, old head on old shoulders. Xenith, would be bard with the ever nimble feet. Bragir Huginstunge, the brolly may be gone but the fireballs remain (retired for now). Expedition AssistantAn essential arm of the expedition leader, is responsible for linking the leader to the group, keeping an eye for the safety of the group as for the leader. Patience a virtue. Chief ScoutHolds an key role as he is the one responsible blending with the shadows and feeling the environment in search for any hazard that would put the expedition in danger. HealerResponsible for keeping the group alive as bruises and scratches can happen in a trip among the wild fauna and flora of avlis. Event RecorderEach trip a brief note is made of the places visited, animals measured, plants pressed and so on. The Event Recorder has the key role of creating this note. Of course perhaps one versed in poetry or song may be best for the task but I can assure you all can turn their own thoughts to this most necessary of actions. StudentThe main core of the group. All kind of students are welcome, from the ones with expertize on the undead and arcane to the ones taking note of everything for record and further study. Responsibilities. Each student must be expected to contribute something to the expedition. Fresh faces though will be fully supported in their first trips but please take a note of the points below. 1. Your emergency bag. Packed with the essentials of any trip; bandages, important potions (speed, invisibility, true seeing, barkskin and so on), rope, sketch pad and a scroll or two to call souls back from their gods. Don’t forget essential cakes and sweets, amongst other things. 2. Take it easy. Enjoy the sights. Take in the fresh air. Measure that small cat with the sharp teeth. Sniff the flowers. 3. Tell a story. On long walks the Expedition Leader can call upon any student or expedition member to keep the spirits high. MeetingsThe traditional day for a FFG trip is, as the gnomes put it, Thursday at around 18:00 GMT. Keep your eyes posted on notices or contact Char'Jer. Ad hoc trips are also arranged by Robert Wallace when an exciting lead is to be followed up. |
