| Psi-Mages are capable arcanists who have found the secret to using their [[Psionics|psionic]] powers to augment their spellcasting capabilities. Creating an object known as a "psi-Vortex" they then use its powers to apply additional effects to their spells.

| Psi-Mages can also choose to add metamagic to their spells by spending PSP. The cost scales with the level of the spell being cast, so a level 3 spell costs three times as much to apply metamagic to as a level 1 spell. Energy Substitution requires the Psi-Mage to have taken the Summon Planar Energy power, Extend requires at least rank 2 of Psi-Mage, and Empower and Maximise can only be used at rank 3.

| The Psi-Mage's powers can be activated easily using text commands. To activate or deactivate the Augmentation bonuses and costs, type "/ams psi augment on" or "/ams psi augment off". For energy substitution, type "/ams psi sub fire" (or cold, electric, acid or sonic). For other metamagic, type "/ams psi meta extend" (or empower, or maximize).
