Count Calais Co'Beir Du'mois began life as a common elf. He left T'Nanshi as a youth and formed an adventuring party which operated mainly in the Seven Cities and its surrounding areas. It is rumored that he was an Avenger of Dru'El but there is no record of him having served in that organization. When his adventuring company disbanded - by some accounts, after an utter defeat that killed off over half of the group - Co'Beir returned to Le'Or T'Nanshi and was mysteriously granted a noble title for unnamed deeds by the Council of Nine. He is a skilled sorcerer and warrior, causing some to label him "The Elven Sorcsword," to which Co'Beir has been said to have commented, "No - that other guy is The Human Sorcsword."

Co'Beir has always been a black sheep among the noble class, not just for his common upbringing but also for his actions. There isn't a party that Co'Beir won't invite himself to. His rebellious behavior almost equals his immense charm, and his love for wine almost rivals his love for women (and, some say, for men). If the gossip in Le'Or is true, he has bedded most of the elf noblewomen in the city (and not a few of the men).

Despite his reputation, Co'Beir seems to continue to fail upwards. He spent roughly a century being considered a drunken, promiscuous laughingstock by most of the noble class. But Co'Beir formed a company of adventurers who were instrumental in the final defeat of The Gentleman, and the Council of Nine rewarded him by giving him a job, allowing him to work alongside his older sister Di'amana. Co'Beir reports directly to Spelfarin Teal.
