Appearance

Shae's face is broad at the cheeks, with a small nose, tapering jaw, narrow chin, delicate lips and smokey hazel downward cast eyes. Her wavy blond hair falls in layers past her collarbone, with sideswept bangs finishing their frame. She judiciously selects and applies makeup to accentuate her features for the task at hand, which frequently spans crisp professionalism, hunter intensity, or court decorum. Her countenance, when unguarded, is light and approachable, however, she often requires intense focus and confidence for her work.

Trained posture and a light athletic build afford Shaenyn every bit of her 5'9" height. Her toned shoulders and core sculpt her waist to her hips, where long, strong legs form the base of Shae's warrior physique. Sun, armor and bladework have tanned and toughened her light skin, and bleached her blonde hair. She displays two large tattoos when out of armor: the first starts low beneath her beltline inside her left hip, traces up the left side of her stomach, around her waist, and settles curled over her shoulder blade. It features delicate and beautiful black linework depicting a slender link chain, entwined with vibrant, colorful watercolor paintings of dozens of distinct wildflowers. The second sleeves her left arm full sleeve in a similar style, with fine linework capturing details of an elegant dragon filled with soft explosions of blues, greys, violets and greens. Both pieces include the same maker's mark.

Shae most commonly travels in studded leathers fit for overland tracking, with 2 longswords across her back, a chain coiled at her hip, and a symbol of Toran around her neck or hanging from her belt. When she fights, she dons the distinct heavy armor and shield of the Justicars of Toran, again favoring her longsword and keeping that chain within reach.

She speaks with an accent native to Soreign recognizable to those familiar with the area.

Combat

Shae's combat prowess is focused in five areas:

  • Leadership - A natural leader of troops and adventurers that builds loyalty and trust, inspires peak performance (See Inspiration), group cooperation, and individual resolve and courage.
  • Shock Troop / Heavy Calvary - Shae leverages her Justicar longsword (right hand), large shield, full plate and heavy helm, and includes powerful divine, offensive and defensive tools, tactics, and the ability to smite chaos. Fights on or off horseback, but typically works on foot.
  • Heartsong Blade Mastery - Heartsong blademastery is a single and dual longsword style, including precision and powerful offensive, mobility and defensive training, plus draw training, circular attacks and fighting blind.
  • Tracking and Apprehension - Shae uses significant training in overland tracking, unarmed fighting, grappling, disarming, called strikes, blackjacks, wooden bladework, and ropes and chains to apprehend quarry and return them alive.
  • Warrior Instincts - Shaped by her advanced training as a Justicar and Weapon_Master, Shae is fearless, attuned to chaos, keenly aware of danger, and exceptionally steady of mind.

Additional Skills

  • Persuasion
  • Etiquette
  • Bounty Hunting, including overland tracking

Code

Shae follows a code ((add footnote about [[1]] ))) that

  • Believes words are her first and most important weapon

The unspoken hallmark of her code is that it requires an immense amount of internal control, yet allows her to be flexible and open minded about the people and world around her.

Instincts

Notable Equipment

  • Thousand Swords - Shae's favorite longsword, gifted to her by x y z. She favors the weapon because it comes with a legend that reminds her of Justicar Sydney va'Cairns, her mentor and idol.
  • Ent Blade - an immaculate wooden longsword crafted by Se'eris from the bough of an Ent. The bough was gifted to Shae for defending the sacred Earth Sea Star Ent Grove in T'Nanshi. Shae uses it to defeat foes of the forest and elsewhere without killing them.
  • Links of Justice - an uncreatively named but exceptionally crafted Dubunat Steel chain (by Nawen of Drakehall) and heavily enchanted to apprehend Shaes quarry. Has been seen to stop demons from teleporting, prevent shifters from shifting, and resist . This is most often seen wrapped around Shae's left forearm or coiled at her hip like a whip.
  • Symbol of Toran - was a gift from Sydney va'Cairns. The amulet is unique and powerful, and includes an warding beacon added after the fact to protect Shaenyn from demons.
  • Demonslayer (of justice) - a functionally named powerful longsword loaned to Shae from Sword of Toran to fight the demons attacking the Spiritland
  • Holy Armor - Traditional plate armor, shield and longsword (which glow white) of the Justicars of Toran, enhanced with craftwork from her teammates at Drakehall Keep.
  • Hunting Coat - Lightweight and versatile leather armor for tracking and defeating foes in the forest and abroad. Shae is seen most often in this armor, with Links of Justice wrapped around her left forearm and multiple (2 or 3) longswords crossed over her shoulders.
  • T'Nanshi Justice (alternately Forest Justice) - Shae's shovel, used in the T'Nanshi practice of making perpetrators dig their own grave before execution.
  • Rope - Rope. For hangings.
