The Disciples of the White Rod were not native to Negaria; they were found on another plane of existence. However, items created by them, specifically belts, have been found here, likely imported by interplanar traders such as Grazby.

The Disciples were a religious order of monks and psions devoted to an offworld goddess of pain, torture, and suffering. It is said that their name came from the fact that this goddess bestowed a white wand upon anyone who inflicted a great deal of pain and suffering in the world, be it intentional or not. They are said to have resided in a place called The Lady's Hand Monastery which was located high in a forbidding range of mountains on their home plane.

When their goddess died the Disciples moved to Negaria, led by their grandmaster Ulamyth Quantor. Whether they were invited by worshipers of Evrak or whether they came of their own accord is uncertain, but sometime after landing here they teamed up with a cult known as the Bonds of Evrak and began worshiping the Sufferlord.

Ulamyth Quantor wielded a relic from his former goddess called the White Rod, a more powerful version of the white wands she handed out. This rod was able to absorb suffering and strife. The Disciples and the Bonds began to work together to sow strife in Negaria which they could then absorb into the rod. It is thought that they orchestrated the brief but costly M'Chek-Brekon War and tried to pit Brekon against the High Mage Council by faking attacks on orc magi by the Sailors of the Mind Wind. The Disciples also orchestrated the Wemiculling, which weakened Ayreh Gidol enough that she could be absorbed into the rod. When the rod was full of suffering and strife Ulamyth planned to deliver it to Evrak on Carceri so the god could absorb its power and become a lesser deity but he was stopped by a group of adventurers. The Disciples were eradicated and the rod was destroyed. Ayreh Gidol was freed from the rod but had lost her divine powers; the power held by the rod formed the demigod Naren.
