Demon lords, are the most powerful of demons, commanding many lesser ones. This power gives them the ability to grant divine magic to their clerics. See demon lords on Wikipedia for detailed information.
There are several demon lords native to Avlis. These include Alifanitax, Kimonictinus, Kuthos, and Sharistracterus.
Although not true demon lords, demonic pseudo-deities are descended from them, and can also grant godlike abilities to their priests.
