Sage Tia Xiloscia Tia is the only child of Mil'waer and So'nina Xiloscia, a well to do family of Le'Or T'Nanshi. Her father, Mil'waer, has made a good living as a legal consultant, accountant, owner of a small scale scrivner's house and unofficial book keeper of his wife's business. So'nina is the managing director of an inherited family owned share in a trade and transport co-operative though most of this has been sold off now that their child is grown and their financial outlook is secure. It is possible that Mil'waer is related to the Ro'que employee Piwien Xiloscia but he doesn't know one way or the other for certain and Tia is too embarrassed to ask Piwien. Tia grew up in Le'Or in the manner one would expect of a wealthy nanshin with a sharp mind. She attended the usual state trainings in weapons and lore for pre-education in the mornings before the study of letters and sums. Music, dance and poetry & history lessons were evenings. She was a gifted student though not remarkably so, yet this is still noteworthy enough to gain her admission to Le'Or's finer schools which prepared her for more robust education at Clairvont University. At Clairvont, Tia studied under professor Haruman Thales who headed the Historical department of the University and majored in Romini Anthropology and linguistics. After graduation, Tia made her way to Mikona to continue her work with the Romini aided by the rich resource of Mikona's great library. While there she became friends with a nanshin named Angora Gend who ultimately appointed her to the post of Master Sage of her newly formed Avlis Tower Univeristy. Tia's tenure was brief but put her in company of other teachers and students who've gone on to some noteriety, Admiral Ayren Milen, Owen Alastaire-Alaster, Councilman Kered Rose, Yantri Windspar, Sinomi Sii and others. Yet, when a teaching position opened up at Clairvont, she resigned her post and took it finding that administration was not in her heart. Along the way she befriended an Ivorian mage named Lafreth who became her mentor in the order. As Tia was not particularly ambitious as a mage and had in fact had some bad blood with the AoMM, her initiate period with Ivory took approximately sixty years until she was made a full magus within the order. To this day, her time mostly remains consumed by her work with romini culture or teaching undergraduates in the Kurathene. When she is free of these responsibilities she resides with HEAL co-owner Lilith DuCoin in Elysia and does what little she may with her mage order.
