Mikona recent events are summarized here. These are overviews of in-game events on the Mikona server, including the whole nation of M'Chek, with links to related forum discussions. Earlier in-game events are documented on the historic events page.
This page will attempt to summarize the basics of various events that have taken place in Mikona and M'Chek since the servers came online.

In editing this, please try to keep it in rough chronological order, and to keep it factual.  And remember, just as on the boards, all information here can be taken as known in character, so don't post anything that you don't want known as common knowledge.

Mikona recent events are summarized here. These are overviews of in-game events on the Mikona server, including the whole nation of M'Chek, with links to related forum discussions. Earlier in-game events are documented on the historic events page.

These are organized by timeline below. The dates used are those shown in-game on the servers; note that these vary from the Avlis Date Calculator on the website, which was only accurate through early 2004. You can also view them organized by plotline.

Lord Nelthrope Threatens Negaria

 • Jan 2263 (March 2020) Lord Cornelius Nelthrope transforms himself into a five-headed dragonlike creature. Calling himself Thrope, he forces his subjects to worship him as an avatar of the "Five Gods of M'Chek" and through this worship gains immortality. Lord Dunster declares a Private War against Nelthrope after he kills Dunster's nephew. Lord Chasworth and several adventurers ally with Dunster in his war, and together they defeat Nelthrope and slay him. Chasworth committed most of his forces to the attack, leaving his keep only lightly defended; the dracolich Excenamentraxious - grandmaster of the Order of the Shadow and herald of Zhitaril - and his undead monks left their underground monastery in the Lost River Cavern and overtook the keep. They have since kept it, and the fort is now known as Shadow Keep. Since Lord Nelthrope had no heirs, the M'Chekian government decreed that Chasworth take over his lands; Nelthrope Keep and the mine below it are now known as Chasworth Keep and Chasworth Mine, respectively.

Evrak Seeks Lesser Godhood

 • Jun 2263 - Feb 2264 (March-June 2020) Two groups worhipping Evrak, the Bonds of Evrak and the Disciples of the White Rod, attempt to foment suffering and strife across the land in order to elevate their god to lesser godhood. They spark the M'Chek-Brekon War which only lasts for half a year before the cults' deception is realized and the two nations agree to a ceasefire brokered by T'Nanshi. Fears of espionage by the Mikona Church of Valok cause the government to suspend worshipers of Valok from government positions and military duty and Marcus Deth was promoted from Prime Minister to Chancellor, a position with increased executive powers.
